ABOUT THE POSITION

Are you hands on with VoIP platforms and love solving technical problems with an analytical mind for on-site situations? If you have been working as part of an army of technicians and now looking to have a more central role where you take the lead for VoIP sales fulfilment (pre & post sales support). Prospecting & Sales will not be part of this role. 

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Take and analyse platform traces.

  • Be confident with the SIP stack and troubleshooting PCAP traces.

  • Have experience diagnosing and fixing network problems.

  • Understand NAT/Firewall configurations.

  • Where required raise technical support tickets against telephone and/or email requests.

  • Liaise with carriers and third party suppliers. Assist with interoperability tests with new platforms and partners.

  • Work with internal technical teams to diagnose and repair faults.

  • Respond to alerts and rectify related problems.

  • Create and document new processes where required.

  • Have meticulous organisation and attention to detail.

  • Interface with internal teams, provisioning, sales and customers alike.

  • Answer support questions on our products and services.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCES
  • At least 1 year’ worth of experience in a VoIP technical support role.

  • At least 1 year’ experience working with open source operating systems.

  • A good level of network/IP experience.

  • Experience configuring IP PBX systems.

  • Good technical aptitude.

  • Energetic in personal, written, and telephone interactions.

  • Fast learner.

  • Ability to develop technical skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.
